Frank Barilone

Lead Product Manager, Wells Fargo Home Lending Servicing

Driving platform modernization and vendor strategy across an $8B mortgage servicing portfolio — turning regulatory complexity into buildable systems, business cases, and capital decisions.

Frank Barilone

Background

Frank Barilone is a product and platform transformation leader with 15+ years in mortgage servicing, vendor strategy, and regulated technology environments. He currently leads product and vendor strategy for an $8B Home Lending Servicing portfolio at Wells Fargo, where his work spans platform modernization, large-scale vendor RFPs, business-case development, and governance frameworks built to meet rising regulatory expectations.

His background spans the full arc of mortgage servicing operations — from frontline team leadership and operations analysis to enterprise product strategy — giving him a systems-level view that connects boardroom decisions to what actually happens in day-to-day operations. He has directed enterprise RFPs covering $35M+ in technology and managed-service spend, and led vendor and platform decisions that delivered over $117M in annualized cost efficiencies.

Frank holds an MBA from the University of Redlands, where he received the Whitehead Leadership Award and served as cohort president, a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) credential, and a Google Generative AI Leader certification. He’s a regular contributor on AI governance and regulatory intelligence in financial services, and currently serves as a formal industry reviewer for MISMO’s FRAME AI working group.

Outside of work, Frank is based in Eastvale, California.

Barinhall was an AI governance and regulatory intelligence advisory practice Frank founded in 2024 to explore how regulatory complexity in financial services could be systematized into buildable, automated tools. Over its lifecycle, Barinhall combined orchestration platforms, LLM APIs, and structured data layers with human-in-the-loop governance to build repeatable intelligence and content systems. The venture has since closed, but its systems and lessons continue to inform Frank’s product and AI governance work today.
